For a long time, I have been looking for an AI speaker. At first, I was in favor of MI AI Mini, however it is limited for sell and the price is a little bit expensive. So I had to give up to wait and turn to looking for another one. Luckily, Tmall released a new AI speaker, Fangtang (TG_C1). Even though this one is only a basic one, but it is welly functional and everybody is welcomed to order at a bargain price.
After 3 days desperately waiting, I received it finally. Now I have to make some complaints to Wanxiang Logistic which owned by Tmall. Way to slow delivery service. From Changsha to Changde, any third party logistic company can deliver the package within one day, but Wanxiang Logistic. If I ordered on JD.COM at 22:00 last night, I can receive the package at this noon. Compared with JD, Tmall still has a long way to improve its logistic service.
Unbelievable simple packing, not one piece bubble film protecting it. Bargain price, poor packing. I was worried about if my AI Speaker were delivered intact. Fortunately, my worry was unwarranted.
Even it is a basic one, the product cardbox is finely designed and the speaker was carefully wrapped inside. And the DTS sound mark on the box added some weight to this light-weighted AI Speaker.
Front, hollow hole design, also used as the speaker outlet. Simple but useful.
Top, 3 buttons only and 2 mics’ hole. Nothing else.
It is said that this TG_C1 has 4 kinds of color effects. I did not configure the light color yet, but compared with its brother Tmall Genie X1, there is no need to mention about TG_C1’s color effects.
There is a very interesting video of joking with C1 but was beaten back by C1. I tested it myself. I have to say that C1 is really a good fighter.
I do not have any other AI electronic equipment, so the best usage and the only one is play music. Login to my Xiami music account via Tmall Genie APP, C1 is able to play music according to my playlist on Xiami. Tried to use C1 to play some music from Greyson Chance, not a problem with recognize English. The only issue I have to bring out is the pronunciation of C1 is as not good as myself. It seems that Jack Ma still need some engineers to improve this issue.
